Ramadan Food Distribution and Qurbani

The project targets the most needy and vulnerable families in the Nairobi slums such as Korogocho, Kawangware, Kibera, Majengo and Gatina. Global One Kenya in partnership with different donors have been distributing food parcels to between 2000-3000 needy families during Ramadan over the years.



GO- Kenya, through donor- support , helps Muslims who do not have the ability to perform the sacrifice and celebrate the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha every year by providing them with meat after slaughtering animals in order to spread goodness through sharing in Korogocho informal settlement area in Nairobi County.

Future Plans

In the next five years, Global One Kenya intends to scale up the existing programs through:


  • i) Working in other Northern Kenya Counties such as Turkana, Marsabit, Mandera and Wajir.
  • ii) Be more vocal on issues affecting women rights such as GBVs among others.
  • iii) Initiating new programs such as nutrition, peace building/conflict resolution particularly in our intervention areas.
  • iv) Identifying and working more with like minded partners both local and/or international NGOs, Research organizations/ academia and individuals.
  • v) Strengthening our advocacy and fundraising strategies
  • vi) Create more jobs for women and girls
